Iraq after the Elections: Prospects for Stability
On May 13, The Nixon Center hosted a luncheon discussion with Qubad Talabani, Representative of the Kurdistan Regional Government to the U.S. and son of Iraqi President Jalal Talabani. Mr. Talabani discussed the March 2010 parliamentary elections in Iraq, the implications of the prolonged struggle to form a governing coalition, and the prospects for stability and prosperity in Iraq.
