The Cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government

Deputy Prime Minister Barwari
Barham Salih, Prime Minister of the KRG, leads Kurdistan Regional Government Cabinet, which emphasizes progress in the areas of education, health, housing, income development and roads. The current Cabinet has 19 ministries, a reduction from 27 ministries in the previous Cabinet. The ministers were ratified by the Kurdistan Parliament and took their oaths of office in the presence of Masoud Barzani, the President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, former Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani, parliament members, Iraqi federal government officials and foreign diplomats.
The Cabinet consists of members of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Kurdistan Islamic Movement, Chaldean Assyrian Syriac Council and Turkmen parties. The Ministers reflect the diverse ethnic and religious
